I love toys but toy clutter can get out of control so quickly. If you want to branch out a bit this Christmas and opt for some non-toy gifts, there are some great options that your toddler will love.
We always include a few of these under the tree. Non-toy gifts are a great way to encourage new interests so get creative.
Here are a few of our favorites:
Art Supplies – Toddlers love to create. You could put together a great toddler-friendly art kit with kid-sized scissors, glue sticks, and large chunky art supplies like pom-poms, googly eyes, etc. Something like this cardboard princess carriage would be a huge hit and would keep toddler’s busy for hours.
Tickets – Is there a local event your toddler would love? Wrap up tickets and put them under the tree. You could do tickets to the zoo, an aquarium, a petting zoo, a show, or a toddler-friendly play.
Classes – I’m a bit fan of spending money on experiences rather than things. There are some great class options for toddlers. Look into toddler sports, dance, gymnastics, swimming, and more.
Books – I love encouraging my kids to read and gifting books is a great way to get them excited about reading. Find books on topics that your toddler is interested in and wrap a few up to put under the tree.
Child-sized Cooking Equipment – My toddlers have always loved helping me out in the kitchen but it is so nice if they can have their own tools. Look for toddler-sized aprons and cooking tools. If you want to get your toddler safely up to the kitchen counter to help, The Learning Tower is a great option and one that I have used with all my kids.
What non-toy gifts will your toddler find under the tree this year?
