If you’ve had a baby in the last couple years, you’ve probably heard of The Honest Company. If not, I’m sure you’ve at least heard of its founder, Jessica Alba. She started the company after having kids of their own and realizing how difficult it was to find natural and nontoxic, eco-friendly products that were beautiful, effective and affordable. I’ve used their diapers on my second son and found them to be the ideal solution for parents that are stressed about putting chemicals on their newborn baby’s perfect, sensitive little bum. Safe, sustainable and delivered right to your front door, The Honest Company products have come to the rescue for many of my overwhelmed new mom friends!
What I didn’t realize about The Honest Company was how incredibly vast their assortment has become. Not only do they have those adorable wipes and diapers that eco-conscious families love, they now have bath and body care, prenatal vitamins, dishwasher pods and more. Brand loyalists will be happy to find all of their needs met with plant-based products that are easy to find and don’t cost a fortune. I was thrilled to hear that The Honest Company products were coming over to Right Start because I’m a nature-lover who recently started greenifying my own home. Much like Jessica Alba’s company, I began with all the baby items and quickly contemplated, “If I’m avoiding chemicals around my baby, why am I slathering this stuff all over MYSELF?” Again, The Honest Company came to the rescue! They sent over some of their personal care items with beautifully-package bubble bath, shampoo and conditioning mist.
Having always thought of the company for baby-specific needs, it was like a light bulb of simplification went off as I saw these items that are perfect for grown-ups and babies alike. “I can use ONE product for the whole family!” I’m pretty sure my husband thought I was nuts as I tossed his chemically-scented soap bars and proceeded to lather the entire family with this creamy sweet orange concoction. I don’t mean to get overly-excited, but the combination shampoo/body wash really, truly serves both purposes astoundingly for myself and the babies alike. And we all know that conditioning mist is a Godsend for calming gnarly kid hair, but I’ve even started using it myself. One less step in the shower, and it doesn’t weight my strands down like others have.
