I LOVE Fall. I am not sure why but it has always been one of my favorite seasons. The crisp cool air, the smell of cinnamon and spice, the changing leaves, the excitement of Halloween followed by Thanksgiving and then Christmas all make me smile from ear to ear. But above all else my favorite thing about Fall has always been the blessed Pumpkin. You show me a pumpkin, and I want it! I am not sure what it is about those round orange vegetables, but I can’t get enough of them. My husband summarized it well in his recent Facebook status: It’s true I love decorating for Fall. I have so many different kinds of pumpkins in my home I really could start a my own patch. I even got my toddler involved last year in the pumpkin festivities with this Pumpkin Garland Craft.
I could very well share a pumpkin recipe of my own but let’s be honest I am not that amazing of a cook. So to commemorate my favorite season I am sharing two recipes from my favorite blogs.
- Comfort of Cooking - Nothing says Fall like a good ol Pumpkin Spice Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and Georgia’s is the best.
- Caffeinated Catholic Mama – My good friend Karianna has the best post on how to roast a pumpkin to perfection. Scroll to the bottom for an amazing homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe!
