I appreciate all the organic, natural, and more eco-friendly baby products out there today. I want to know the products I’m spending my money on are better for my children and the environment. More and more companies are putting a focus on making baby gear in more sustainable ways, or out of better and safer materials. In honor of Earth Day, we’ll take a moment to put a spotlight on some of the great eco-friendly baby products out there.

Toys made with dangerous chemicals are a big worry for a lot of parents, Green Toys has a number of high quality and safe baby toys to keep your baby entertained and learning. The Colorful Green Toys Stackers are made from recycled milk containers and are BPA-, PVC-, and phthalate-free. I have a soft spot for Sophie the Giraffe. Sophie was one of the first toys she really loved and Sophie has stuck around as a favorite trough teething and lots of play. Vulli Sophie the Giraffe is made from natural rubber and food paint, and is BPA and phthalate-free. With the Nook Pebble Pure Crib Mattress made from organic coconut core and latex foam, a soft and breathable aden + anais Organic Muslin Fitted Crib Sheet, and a cute Bocasa Organics Blanket Elephant and you have a great start on an organic nursery. Finding safer baby care and cleaning products is intimidating. Making your own natural household cleaners is always a great option but when you are in the market to buy something, Babyganics offers a variety of personal care and cleaning options.

12 Eco Friendly Baby Products

When my oldest was a baby awareness of BPA, PVC, and phthalates was just picking up. As I learned more I went out and found all new feeding items for my little baby. These days it is much easier to find safer sippy cups or bottles from companies such as Born Free, and feeding utensils like the Swap 2-in-1 Feeding Spoon from Boon. Another way to bring some earth-friendly baby products into your home is to purchase items that your children can use for years and years to come. The wooden Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair adjusts to grow with your child from infancy to the tween years and beyond. Reuse, reuse, reuse.

The eco-friendliness continues! You can stock your little ones closet with 100% organic Egyptian cotton clothes from Under the Nile. A lot of moms love the hands-free capability of a good baby carrier. My favorite carrier is the ERGObaby organic baby carrier. It’s comfortable,  easy to use and durable. The organic BABYBJÖRN Bouncer Balance Soft is a brand new soft and comfy seat for your baby they can use all the way up until they are 29 lbs. (Right now you can enter to win a BABYBJÖRN Bouncer Balance Soft from Right Start!)

  1. David Grey says:

Eco friendly baby products are something that let a mother to nourish their cute, little and fragile kid in an ecological manner. They decompose into remains so that they could not produce the dumping non degradable waste, that would not effect the environment a lot unlike other baby products
